Jewel of the Bay

December 30th, 2011

On the day before the last day of the year Beyond The Fog had the pleasure of going with our new friend Tregg to one of his favorite places on the earth, the Cabins at the bottom of the Steep Ravine  Trail on Mt Tam. Like a handful pebbles, The  cabins lay at the bottom of this gorgeous ravine, on the edge of dramatic bluffs. The Cabins are rustic, simple, beautiful, and lovely, there is no running water, no electricity, and the beds are made of wood, a wood burning stove keeps you warm. The Ocean is directly out your window the spray from the ocean touches your face.  The sound of the Ocean is on your front doorstep. For a non camper  one or two nights would give you a great experience, for the experienced camper the cabins are the Ritz!

Surrounded by the magnificent West Coast sweeping scrubby and wind swept trees, the Ocean crashes around the cabins adding a sense of adventure to the beautiful scenery.

Like a Storybook the Cabins hug the bluff, and you are left breathless with wonder…
