Labor Day Marks the end of summer and Beyond The Fog went to Tomalas Bay for Oysters and Clam Chowder. Ten Years ago Hog Island Oyster Farm was a locals hang out, on Tomalas Bay. Marshall’s Grocery Store was a grocery Store for locals,in a tiny town called Marshall California. They sold oysters in a variety of ways and you ate them sitting on their back porch… Today Marshall Grocery Store has only changed and expanded a little bit…We stood in a long-ish line, ordered Oysters, sat on the porch and had a blast, it was so nice to sitting next to the water, Tomalas Bay is quiet, peaceful and beautiful its a bay located in West Marin on your way to Pt Reyes State Park.
Pt Reyes is the town just outside of Pt Reyes State Park, the town it is turning into the foodies capitol. Cow Girl Creamery is based in Pt Reyes. From Pt Reyes we drove through groves of oak trees to Stinson Beach. Stinson Beach is only 45 minutes from San Francisco
Stinson Beach is wide, soft beach with cold Pacific ocean rushing behind us as we walk. My friends bought two lots back a long time ago and they built two separate beach homes, not large but perfect from the beach. You walk into the front gate, and there is a garden directly in front of you and on each side are two sweet one bedroom homes the garden serves as the outdoor common space with the houses on the side. The lagoon is directly in front and great to swim in after the sun goes down..peaceful, sweet, charming, relaxing, Stinson Beach, Osyter eating, cheese shopping Day !
