This new eatery in Washington DC is very clever…the emancipation
proclamation is on the wall written in PINK an over sized white chair takes over a small part of the restaurant the floor is covered with Pennies and the Mens Room and Ladies Room are Abe and Mary..everything is done very tastefully done… Theme restaurants often feel forced
However Lincoln feels like you fell into someones collection there are little sparks of History everywhere you look, its all subtle, tasteful, elegant, and done with a wink…the food is American with a southern bent..tea and ice tea served in jars, healthy salads and lovely sandwiches…the service was swift so that the working crowd can be in and out…
