Summer is here and its starting off with a BANG The Golden State Warriors WON the NBA Championship for the first time in 40 Years!!!!!!!!!!!!! OMG this is huge! Huge Huge Huge! and the Parade was in Oakland! Directly in front of my house!!!!!! The US Conference of Mayors was at the same time.. the number of events was enormous! all weekend long 1,500 participants attended spectacular evening events,all weekend long, beginning with the Welcome Gala is City Hall, City Hall was drapped in RED velvet, red and pink roses filled earns in the Rotunda and the North and South Light Corts. The President spoke and so did Hillary Clinton…The 100 year anniversary of City Hall is was celebrated with a light show. . ON City Hall!! there was an endless flow of wine and food all weekend long. The next celebration was at the California Academy of Arts with a green rug, tons of food and drink and the natural exhibitions were all open and people were free to Rome around…the weekend was not over until a Fellini like celebration took place on the Embarcadero with some of the best restaurants offering food, the best wineries , wonderful wine , dancing Jelly fish, and fireworks! a spectacular evening !
The US Conference of Mayors finished with a Parade in China Town and dinner at two different chinese restaurants . It was a very special weekend, San Francisco put on a GREAT conference! the committee was lucky enough to raise the money from the private sector and we were able to show off our city with grace elgance and so much FUN!
